What to Expect
Before
Arrive early. It is a great gift to oneself to be relaxed and find parking in plenty of time.
Communicate. Before we begin I will ask you questions regarding your overall physical condition, current issues, and depth preference. Please mention any recent accidents, surgeries, injuries, chronic or acute conditions, allergies to oils or essences, or any other health concerns. If you would like a silent session, please ask at the start of the session.
Food and Drink. Please try not to eat anything at least an hour before the session; you will feel more relaxed and comfortable with an empty stomach. Avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol.
During
Dress. Korean Acupressure can be performed fully clothed or unclothed and covered by a sheet.
Pressure. Korean Acupressure uses deep pressure on some points and light pressure on others. If there is any sharp pain, you must communicate that immediately. Feel free to ask for more or less pressure at any point. Qi sensation is different from pain; it feels like a slight electric charge or sudden opening of energy.
Communication. Please let me know if you would like any change in the music, amount of light, amount of pressure, etc.
Silence. Although it is important for me to ask certain questions during the session, if you would like to have a silent session, please request this when you make the appointment.
After
Drink Water. Korean Acupressure stimulates circulation and detoxification. To prevent dehydration and flush toxins, drink plenty of water for the next 24 hours following your session.
Rest. After your session, you may feel light-headed, energetic, sleepy, relaxed or euphoric. In order to receive the most benefit from this work, try to rest for an hour afterwards.
